I think the title says it all. Scanning an anomaly that is actually an upgrade will trigger this issue. So will picking up an anomaly that is actually an upgrade.

Do you have a full stack trace? I think I know where to look, but it's always good to have the full trace when possible.

I wish. For whatever reason, any exceptions thrown by the network interface never include a stack trace.

What? That's weird. I didn't think that I was doing anything that would result in losing the trace. I'll look into it.

I don't think the stack trace is being lost because of your library. I think it's simply my IDE is being too stupid to save it.

The exception is thrown from AbstractObjectParser.java, line 27 (the parse method). It's expecting the value 8, which corresponds to ANOMALY, but instead it reads 4, UPGRADES. My current workaround is simply to return null in this specific case, and it's working so far, but I can't imagine this is the correct fix.
