Slow

i tested your lib with BinarySearcher and BigBinarySearcher and the speed is suuuuuuper slow...
i have ~ 8.5 million bytes and i search for a 10 byte sequence.
After 5 minutes it passed 200k bytes...

In Cpp my own search was done in less than 10 seconds.

I have no idea if it is java in general or some other problem...

Are you using BigBinarySearcher#searchBytes or BigBinarySearcher#searchBigBytes ?

#searchBigBytes for mega bytes data.

but why is the other method so much slower ? i mean whats the purpose of it ?

I'm glad to hear.

#searchBigBytes is multithreaded, #searchBytes is single threaded model.
Single threading is easier to understand the code and the search logic is simple but the processing speed is slow.

#searchBigBytes is recommended for large data

okay but somehow the speed is not really proportional to my hardware.
I have an i7 and single threaded search on the same data set would take (just a guess) 2 hours+ somehow...
(Same data set and same machine) but multithreaded search takes less than 1 second.

Thats why i was surprised by the speed :)
