Hardware may have future need for configuration options beyond what we know, so the API should incorporate some way for the Core to present configuration settings to the user that the server does not necessarily understand/know about.
Example: AC Power Switch V3.0.1 has multiple config options. Rather than the server having to know what the AC Power Switch V3.0.1 can do, the switch on deployment seal tells the Core to send the server the following config options;
- "Enable Anti-Restart Safety" binary option
- "Set In-Use Current Threshold, 0 to Disable" integer option, 0 to 15
these can then be presented to the user directly.
We should also incorporate this for things like the tap vs. insert option, since not all hardware can necessarily support both.
