Design - Input Placeholder color var (or design token... whatever we're using moving forward)

What is the current behavior?
Currently there's not an easy way to change placeholder text color without copying over the mixin.

What is the expected behavior?
I would like to see a color var or design token made so that it's and easy change to update input placeholder text color.

For feature requests: why should the behavior change?
It's happened to me on several projects where I needed to change the placeholder color for legibility purposes and there should be an easier way to do so.
