I am loving this project, and recently discovered the Toob record input plugin.
I have set up a couple of presets to allow quick recordings of ideas when the inspiration strikes, and there are a few ways I can see to be able to record / re-amp things after I have an idea down.
I could simply put the Toob record block early in the chain, and record as DI, then it could be played back through any of the following FX blocks, and then recorded again via a toob record block at the end of the chain.
Or, I could do both things simultaneously, by having a split, with A being input / amp / FX / record/ output, and B being input / record / output, but here I wish there was a way to trigger both record actions at the same time.
Just looking for alternative ideas to accomplish this, preferably within a patch, as I realise more can be done by splitting L/R signals at IO stage.
My first attempts at recording a stereo file, with L being DI and R being amp didn't work ( I was hoping to be able to split a stereo track in Reaper to achieve this, but simply arrived at a stereo amp sound, maybe I didn't have the pan / split set correctly?)
My later experiments with using the split to have a dual amp setup seem to be working a little better, so I think I can get this done.
