Web Interface Freezes After 30 Minutes on RK3566 (Armbian) While Audio Continues Running

I have some questions. I built Pipedal on a Panther X2 box with the RK3566, running Armbian. At first, everything works fine. However, after about half an hour, the web interface freezes, and I can no longer switch presets via MIDI. The audio processing itself continues to run normally.

I’m not sure what’s causing the issue. Is there any command I can use to view the pipedal logs?

I used the journalctl command for that.

jourlanctl -u pipedald or jourlanctl -u pipedald -fe to see realtime messages

So you know, If you are experiencing heavy XRUNs (audio overruns or underruns), there are problems with ALSA locking up on some older LINUX versions/distros. A leak in ALSA kernel, when recovering from XRUNs, perhaps. So take care of that first.

Whether PiPedal will run on an ARM A55 or not is an open question. I suspect that you will only be able to run very small presets. I do have reports that PiPedal runs (with performance limitations) on a Pi 3, although I would not recommend it.

Also monitor your memory usage carefully, if it's a 2GB device. It's possible that the device is running out of memory. But journalctl will probably give you some pretty good clues if that's the case.
