As it stands, TetRex has 3 helper scripts for

  1. Converting Prosite Patterns into POSIX RegEx (python)
  2. Splitting a FASTA file into equal chunks (perl)
  3. Breaking a clustered MMSeqs2 FASTA file into smaller files (C++)

These should really be consolidated into one toolkit written in one language...

Would be a good task for an intern!
