Error set-up with Amber 65 and EW11

Big thank you for setting up this integration as Itho seems to need a lot of time and it is still open if they even gonna make it.

I have troubles with the communication, HA gives this error:

Have you tried to switch the A and B wires.
Reset module and HA after switching wires.

And all settings in the EW11 are correct?

On the RS485 side the module adres 1, baudrate 9600 and correct parity setting.
On the Ip side correct portnumber 502

Yeah, I did try switching the A and B wires and there's communication on the serial side of things albeit super slow. However on the TCP side there's nothing send. I am clueless where to change the module adress - my configuration.yaml has no sensors section.

Yes, I change WIFI mode to STA and Serial port settings:

The modbus port number should be 502 (standard modbus port) although most modules do not have that set by default.

Yes, that is not possible for the integration.

I do not know all the EW settings, must be a setting.
No one has reported any problems with the integration

I also see 2 different IP's the bottom one maybe the modbus one?

I am not sure what you are referring to. My current assesment:

1. Status view shows traffic on serial side as there are sent & received bytes/frames
2. Status view also shwo traffic on tcp side "netp": received bytes/frames but no send bytes/frames.
3. my simple mind sees this communication flow: HA initiates > netp recieves > netp forwards to serial > serial receives > serial sends answers > netp receives > netp send to HA.
4. what is stated in 1&2 I cannot map to the flow in 3. Therefor I must make a mistake in my thinking in step 3.

You assumption (3) is correct.

In this image I see 2 Ip addresses, I think the top one is for the websever and the bottom one for the modbus.

And after changing this setting to half duplex, a restart of HA?
In all the footage (youtube etc) I see the setting is on half duplex.

I have not a EW11 to test, but know there is a another user that uses the EW11 without any problems.
I do not think there is a problem with the integration, your problem lies in the module of the settings.

You can try a windows program called modscan, to test the EW11

after changing settings on EW11, I always perform a restart of both the EW11 and HA. Currently, I gave up on the EW11 and ordered the setup as discussed here: Uitlezen Itho Daalderop HP-S en Amber warmtepomp

I'm still convinced it is in your settings or EW11 module. No one reported any issues with the other modules.
Most use the bit more expensive WaveShare modules.

Be aware that the control module you ordered does not currently support the error codes.

What are the bit more expensive WaveShare modules? I'm trying to reset EW11 to factory settings and see if I can get it working.

Always verify the support for the Mobus protocol.
Price range 30 ~70 Euro.

I Know that the EW-11 is listed as working, because another user had success with it.
