i get this error message immediately upon launching the emulator:

Unable to mount file system for application: sd1:/apps/wiicolem/
Press A to exit...

my sdhc card is formatted fat32. huh? am i missing something fundamental? btw, i also get this same error message with wii7800.

i located the source of the issue. i'm only getting the error when i launch the emulator with homebrew filter. homebrew channel and usb loaders don't exhibit the behavior. i'm sure it has something to do with homebrew filter still having a file handle open on the sd card. interestingly, this does not happen with wii2600 or wiixl (wiimednafen has the error). i don't know if it's worth your time to fix this for homebrew filter.
