Memory leak /heap usage problem still persists

With the new version Ratcomn has defo become more stable but when I go to the about section I can still see the heap dropping rapidly in about one and a half minutes until the device crashes.

Thank you - can you give a bit more info?

This happens as a result of you going to the about section, or are you suggesting that it happens regardless, but you were able to go to the about section and see the heap dropping rapidly prior to it crashing?

In addition to that, can you share a bit more info on what mode you were using (Just LoRa? Connected to WiFi? TCP?), as well as if you were using an SD card or not, and lastly, did you fully reset/wipe the device before installing, or are you using something like m5launcher?

You're correct, that was very generalized. Sry. I use m5launcher on cardputer adv and yes I do have an sd card inserted. I did not wipe anything before installing the new version. I'll try erasing the corresponding folder on my sd and reflashing launcher so that I get a freshs tart with the next install.
Also I think I did nothing in particular. After the install I went to the settings to do my usual config (probably did connect to an AP in that process and when I reached "about" I saw that the heap was very low, before it crashed shortly after.
Then after a reboot I went directly to about and saw that the whole process was going on rather quickly and seem so happen every time even without much interaction from the users side.

I'm going to guess this is related to stale data on either the SD or flash, I'd recommend checking the factory wipe button when installing if it isn't inconvenient, but considering you're using m5launcher it sounds like it is. In which case, yeah, I'd try to clear the SD card and see if that helps, and just make sure you're on 1.7.8.

If that doesn't fix it let me know, and I'll have to try to come up with a cleaner solution, as I'm sure other users will have a shared experience if they were on an outdated version w/ SD card.

It is kinda inconvenient but I'm using your free frimware, so it not too much to ask and only fair :)
I'll do a fresh start with wiped flash and sd and let you know if the problem persists.
