The car cannot avoid obstacles

Hello.
I cloned your code and followed your instructions to run it successfully, which is very exciting. However, the small car doesn’t seem to avoid obstacles, right? Is it possible to make it avoid obstacles and reach the target location?

Hi @abledong, thanks for trying the project!

For now, the action agent simply drives toward the sector with the highest CLIP similarity score. This means that if an obstacle is directly between the robot and the target, it won’t perform avoidance yet.

I’m still actively working on the project and I plan to add proper planning and obstacle-avoidance features so it can navigate around objects instead of just heading straight toward the goal.

By the way, I just pushed a small fix that makes the robot stop correctly when it reaches (or gets too close to) the target object.
