The code is GITHUB open source, so it should be possible to get the app here. It is not in the Google play store anymore. Just google for it, and we can download it as an apk. It still works. The app is not dead. It is our favorite app for walking meditation. But it would be highly desirable to have the steps in InfluxDB in real-time.

.aab cannot be installed, not signed. The preferred format in Google Play (with an uploaded key)

May I suggest though not to keep the binderies in the source control. The practice is to have a github action or any CI/CD that builds them and ships the assets when you tag a new release. Give me a moment i can make a PR, with AI this is trivial.

Having releases from GitHub Actions would be awesome. I don't use the Google Appstore, so I'd like to keep up to date either via releases from GitHub (or F-Droid, but that's another story).

It seems that the Actions are now in place, but the latest release at https://github.com/rainerblind/aTrainingTracker/releases is still V4.9.4 from February...

The automatic build was introduces just some days ago. When I publish the next release (probably in the middle of next week), we will see if it works.

I just pushed the latest changes.
It looks like a debug version was build automatically. But not a signed release. Thus, I created a new release and uploaded the latest signed version.

It should create a new signed release when you tag. There is a dispatch option in actions where you can tag and build a new release
