Okay, so I saw in the app that you're out of ideas, so here's some I just felt would help the app a bit
The first (and arguably most important) one was a better minimized form (notch or island).
So right now, when you're not hovering on it, V-Notch is just a dark, blank space on your screen. However, we could change this. One of the most obvious solutions would be to put the time on it, but that doesn't have to be all. Since laptop screens are large, you could let users choose whatever to put on it, like a system monitor, or make it a notification system similar to how the Dynamic Island opens when there's a notification on the iPhone. It would also be nice if we could have timers show in the minimized form (like the image of the iphone version)
This could be expanded for more apps like the iOS version like calls, screen recordings, etc.
Next, lyrics/captions. I had 2 points about this;
One, the youtube captions fails, regardless of what browser I try. I've used both chrome and edge, and tested some of the most famous videos on youtube, but it says searching for captions and nothing shows after.
Two, for the lyrics end, I was hoping maybe you could expand it past spotify, especially to lrc files or custom music players. I have an app for music playback which fetches lyrics from free online APIs or direct manual entries, as well as non-spotify players like Apple Music, and I was hoping lyrics support could be expanded to that.
I also had one question; where is the clipboard in this app?
Now for the rest of my ideas (less major)
- More customizability on what pages show what content (almost like widgets), and reordering of tabs
- More optimizations (less CPU/GPU usage when idling)
- Optimizing the animations (when I tested on a laptop with an older CPU the animations felt sluggish and around 10 fps)
- Add better detection for browser tabs, Discord, Twitch, etc.
- Add some more theme presets: minimal, glassy, vibrant, compact, battery saver (I know this is being worked on, just a suggestion)
- Add support for user created themes (through code preferably, since that's easier than making themes yourself
- Maybe a first-run tutorial explaining gestures and features
- Make permissions very explicit and explain what data is processed
- Add more local-only controls and clearer privacy toggles
