Player no longer respecting system brightness

Steps to reproduce

1. open any episode inside internal player
2. pull down notification bar
3. change system brightness
4. it won't change

Expected behavior

1. open any episode
2. pull down notification bar
3. change system brightness

• it respects system brightness till it's changed inside player once.

Actual behavior

brightness levels are only manageable using player's controls
