# Machine-readable citation metadata for this repository.
#
# SINGLE SOURCE OF TRUTH: the author block in index.qmd (lines 4-23) is
# authoritative for names, affiliations and ORCIDs. This file and README.md are
# hand-synced mirrors. If a byline changes, change index.qmd first, then mirror
# it here.
#
# The article was accepted by REGION on September 19, 2026. The journal has not
# yet assigned a volume, issue, page range or OJS number, and the OJS number is
# what generates the DOI. Those fields are OMITTED below rather than filled with
# placeholders. See "When the journal assigns" at the bottom of this file.

title: "Replication materials for 'Regional growth, convergence, and spatial spillovers in India: A reproducible view from outer space'"
abstract: "Reproducible research compendium for a study of regional growth and convergence across 520 Indian districts between 1996 and 2010, using DMSP-OLS satellite nighttime lights as a proxy for economic activity. The repository holds the Quarto manuscript source, six computational Python notebooks, the district-level data and spatial weights matrix, the uv-locked software environment, and the rendered HTML, PDF and DOCX outputs. Every figure and table in the article is regenerated from the raw data by the notebooks."

notes: "Accepted for publication on September 19, 2026 (manuscript 676). The journal has not yet assigned a volume, issue, page range or DOI."
# When the journal assigns volume, issue, pages and the OJS number:
# 1. delete `status: in-press` and the `notes:` line above;
# 2. add `volume:`, `issue:`, `start:`, `end:`;
# 3. add `doi:` built as 10.18335/region.v<volume>i<issue>.<ojsnum>
# (see _extensions/region-ersa/REGION/partials/title.tex line 35);
# 4. mirror the same values into index.qmd (jvol, jnum, jpages, ojsnum)
# and into the README citation block.
