已知 Ptt 站實作 Big5-UAO 轉 UTF-8, 會針對 DBCS 字元做處理, 也知道會有部分無法完全轉換, 但至少可以文字對齊(如圖1)
Ptt is known to implement Big5-UAO to UTF-8 conversion, including special handling for DBCS characters. Although some characters may not be converted perfectly, the text can at least remain properly aligned (as shown in Figure 1).
然而進站畫面顯示的 UTF-8 字元卻沒被處理到這部分(如圖2, 相比預期版本"更難看出來是數字 2026)
However, the UTF-8 characters displayed on the login screen do not appear to go through the same handling, which causes the layout to become misaligned (ss shown in Figure 2, compared with the expected version, it is more difficult to recognize that the displayed characters are the number "2026".).
已確認這行為在 GNOME Terminal 等其他支援 UTF-8 字元的終端機也會有類似情形
This behavior has also been confirmed in other terminals that support UTF-8, such as GNOME Terminal.
想確認這部分有沒有機會調整? 或是有其他考量? 謝謝
I would like to confirm whether there is a possibility of adjusting this behavior, or whether there are other considerations behind the current implementation. Thank you.
