In the last two weeks as a team we really pushed to finish the project and getting it to a state we were happy to demo. For me this meant builidng the CRUD operations and frontend for the teams feature. One of the big struggles we ran into was managing all of the project and teams data as it was all scattered aroud different mongo collections. For example on the projects page, we must show a users own projects as well as projects that are linked to a team they are members of.

If we were to keep working on this project, I would add error handling in the front end as well as make sure there cant be project name duplicates.

Teams feature was fully complete and implemented, pair programming with Landseer mostly to achieve this stretch goal. Teams collection was created which required changes in schema to Users collection to accommodate a field for teams. A challenge we ran into was figuring out how projects are accessed when you are added to a Team and have created projects as a User. To avoid duplication we altered our project dashboard to have a hook that holds our projects in a set in order to filter through duplicated projects. If we had more time we would implement user profiles which will act as a portfolio page for users that can present all their deployed projects on our site, as well as give the user ability to share more more about themselves as a developer.

In the last two weeks, I polished the final functionality of the project. This included adding responsive breakpoints to many pages, a description of the project in the landing page, making upload/fetching of images from the front-end into the database work, and doing a lot of the final README documentation. A challenge I ran into was that the styling of the "teams" feature pages was not consistent with the rest of the website, so I ended up spending time updating the look and feel.

In the past two weeks, I implemented Redux for my current project, set up a second layer of Traefik for zero downtime of Nimbase, and implemented Docker networks per project for isolation and port clash prevention. I also restructured the front-end flow for project creation/edit and the back-end API calls for updating MongoDB and DevOps simultaneously. I faced challenges with setting up the second layer of Traefik while isolating networks per project, but was able to overcome them. I also linted and cleaned up the code to remove unused blocks of code and comments, and created a presentation with cool transitions and animations.
