Entities crossing sentence boundaries

We use FLAT to annotate multiword expressions like "kick the bucket" or "pull one's leg". It can happen that components of such expressions belong to different sentences (e.g. in case of partly elliptical expressions).
I have checked that FLAT does not allow to create an entity with components belonging to two different sentences.
Does the FOLIA format allow such entities at all?

There is no such limit in the FoLiA format. see example.
So it must be a limitation in FLAT
