ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'pkg_resources'

ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'pkg_resources'

I get this error when installing. been searching everywhere for solution but to no avail, any idea how I could fix this?

i dont remember the exact steps and what else i did before that, but after downgrading setuptools it worked:
pip uninstall setuptools -y
pip install "setuptools<70"
python -c "import pkg_resources; print(pkg_resources.version)"

this should only give a warning "AttributeError: module 'pkg_resources' has no attribute 'version'" now.

I think you can just do what it says and run
pip install --user -U nltk then open the interpreter using python and type the commands import nltk and nltk.download('punkt_tab')
