V1.4.0 released

[petercorke]

This release has a few new features, but mostly bug fixes, and proper deprecation of features I unilaterally pulled (like out.y0) for instance. The documentation was in places quite out of date, so the README, wiki, and sphinx online docs have all had a good worker. Operation in the browser using JupyterLite is now pretty solid, and worth a try, just click the link under the logo on the landing page. bdsim now has solid CI workflows and a proper release process, so the broken releases that I've pushed out in the past should not happen again.

For the future and Call for Contributors:

• more small features and polish for bdsim, see the Project board. Many of these are small and self contained, ideal for first-time contributors.
• a web-based replacement for bdedit which I don't want to maintain anymore feat/bdweb branch
• real-time operation on a desktop with I/o capability or a RaspberryPi wired up to a system feat/realtime branch
• code generation feat/codegen

The last 3 of these are still pretty green.
