any updates on this? i recently switched to protonvpn using gluetun and received this error too.. any resolution or how to avoid it? TYIA

Hi - are you running docker in rootless mode? If so, when you log out, the docker.sock file will be deleted and this can cause all sorts of issues. If this is your issue, run the following and it should be fixed: sudo loginctl enable-linger $USER
