Next Event has got dashes around it

They didn't used to be there and now my next event has ugly dashes around them. Is this a new feature (like Flashing and Play sound were)?

These dashes mean you have not accepted or declined the event. It's currently pending action.
(this is a very old feature btw)

Aha. Thanks. Yes, odd (I initially read old as odd). But I can see both sides of the logic.

• Emphasise it's unresolved (shout about it)
• It's unresolved; I don't care abut it (make it grey like in the calendar)

Eek, not another checkbox for an obscure option. 🤣
