Update markdown files in /docs to set 80 character lines

We need to update the new markdown files in /docs to set an 80 character line to facilitate tracking changes by line number.
The markdown files at the rootdir and in /types-doc appear to already be set with 80 character lines.

shouldn't that be 78 to account for "+ " and "- " ?

Are you referring to +/- for a PR? I am not sure that affects the markdown file line length but we can pick any number 80 or under so long as we have a consistent standard to apply

Yeah, uniform diffs prefix either "+ " or "- " or " " (two spaces).

I'd say 78 or less would be great :-)

@lizmat The 80 character line length is for the base markdown files for change tracking by line but the +/- for the diffs should not be affected.

PS - I am old enough to remember that the 80 character convention was inherited from mainframe punch cards.

@johnmhoran Philippe confirmed 78 so I guess that is the magic number (explanation pending).
