Feature Description

Ability to convert units of measurement; °C, mm, cm, m, km, m2, m3 <-> in, ft, yd, mi, nmi, mi2, pt, oz, lb, st, ton, °F

Problem Statement

As a European with sensible units of measurement, I'm often confused by the range and non-sensible Imperial measuring units.

Proposed Solution

I'd like to type 100f and sol return 37.7°C
With 95mm the question start with what imperial measurement to return, so to simplify Sol should by default not return anything unless the return unit is defined like so; 95mm to in => 3.7402in this also allows for ft to yd conversion 20ft to yd => 6.666667yd or km to cm 1km to cm => 100000cm

A proven units library would avoid hand-maintaining dimensions and factors, but the query grammar still needs explicit ambiguity rules: m versus m2/m3, f versus Fahrenheit, plural/Unicode symbols, and conversions across incompatible dimensions. Results should preserve sensible significant figures and locale-independent input while offering a stable canonical output. Table tests for temperature offsets, area/volume exponents, nautical miles, mass units, and invalid cross-dimension requests would define the feature better than a flat unit list.
