run without temporary files?

ffsubsync and alass would not eat up space as as much perhaps they're storing the temp files in the RAM.

but 50% out of time they always fail at fixing subs except for autosubsync but it tends to each much free space, is there an option to make it less space free hungry? like a switch or argument? is this even possible?

Hmm. Good point.

I think the extra space you're referring to are the .flac sound files, which are created as an intermediary step because they are easier to read in Python than extracting the audio track directly from the video files. In theory, it could be possible to remove those completely by streaming the sound output from ffmpeg directly into Python. Also using a lossy audio codec instead of flac could help.

There is currently no flag for any of these and implementing this in a platform-independent way may be tedious. The relevant code is in the file below:
