Hello!
If anyone has any experience connecting via SERIAL UART over RS232 ?
I've already done the necessary mods to the back of the board using the proper jumpers to bridge the necessary pins in the com and patch headers on RS232-1.
I'm using:
Tera Term,
Com3 (which shows the Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART bridge driver location )
9600
8bits
P-none
Stop B 1
Flow -none
in the Terminal header I have LOCAL ECHO checked.
It's an old Novation Cat modem (actually an Atari 830)
I've bridge pins 2 and 3 on the male 25 pin connector, but it's not sending any character for the loopback.
I fear that I'm out of my depth.
Yes. I have a working landline with local BBS numbers to call.
I'd figure I'd start here, first.
thanks!
