Did you try it? Spaces work with my SSID. I think the only "printing" character not permitted is a (see under known issues in the firmware release notes at https://github.com/thehighnibble/firmware/releases . |

I just fired up my IMSAI8080esp to check - and I was wrong (since I misinterpreted your question). It is my Wifi password that contains spaces, but my SSID has no spaces. If your Wifi set-up allows a secondary (visitor) SSID to be configured, you might try adding another SSID without spaces and see if this works. |

I haven't received my kit yet, so I have no way of testing this, but you might try this... when you get to the space in the password or SSID, instead of hitting the spacebar, hold down the "alt key" and type 255 on the numeric keypad (alt-255). This will send an ASCII space character. Note that the last time I did that in the 80's, only the numeric keypad could be used and not the number keys on the top row of the keyboard. But, a lot has happened in the 40 or 50 years since then I'm told,so your mileage may vary. You might also want to verify that you're trying to connect to a 2.4ghz router. I'm not sure about this esp32, but most that I have worked with will not see a 5ghz network. Finally, i would check your router settings to see what authentication it is using. If it is only using wpa3, try enabling WPA2, along with wpa3 (aka WPA2/WPA3 Transitional Mode). Don't use wpa1, since it is not secure. |

My Wi-Fi SSID has spaces in the name, do I need to set them in quotes in the boot.conf file or are spaces unsupported?
