Hey everyone, just checking in — things have gone a bit quiet lately and I wanted to get a pulse on where we're at.

@Tartarus6, any progress on locating the song limit offsets?
@Jepl4r, have you had a chance to confirm the factory mode reset timing, and is your album art resize PR ready to merge?

Also wanted to get everyone's thoughts on whether we should push a release with what we have, or hold until the above items are resolved.

I haven't found anything on the offsets yet. School has just been more busy lately. I'm still chipping away at it, just a bit slower than before.

I think that the release is ready, no need to wait for what's currently being worked on.

@noisetta Didn't you already update the python script to resize the covers?

As for the factory reset timing, it happens when powering the device on and hiby_player detects the file to enter test mode in the SD Card.

Saw the script only supported FLAC and MP3, I extended the resize to other formats as well.

@noisetta @Tartarus6 If the string {"tf_music_db_enable":0} inside config.json is set to 1 a new toggle inside Update Mode appears.
If enabled it will rescan the whole music library and save the database in the .temp folder on the SD Card.
This should increase the song limit from 50K to 200K

The downside of this is that it'll delete the database from the internal storage resulting in playlists and favorites being lost.

Only workaround is copying the database from internal storage before enabling the option and after the scan is completed replace the database in the .temp folder
