Preparing to cut 1.0.0 — RC7 validated, final comments welcome

1.0.0 is within reach

We are preparing to cut the 1.0.0 tag for CAIPE.

This is a huge milestone for the project. 1.0.0-rc5 has been validated and has been quite successful, and we are opening this discussion for final comments before we finalize the tag.

What changed since 0.6.0

The 1.0.0 work is a substantial step forward across the platform:

Product experience

• Unified navigation and settings
• Customizable Home page with Quick Start and optional widgets
• Global command palette and platform-health notifications
• Consistent breadcrumbs, searchable pickers, and improved admin workflows
• Clearer release and deployed-version visibility

Authorization and knowledge

• Centralized Authorization Service as the decision point for agents, workflows, knowledge bases, and MCP tools
• Query-time RAG authorization with datasource-scoped search
• Team ownership and sharing, service-account authorization, access explorer, and self-check tooling
• UI-managed ingestion sources, S3 and local-file ingestion, and cleaner knowledge-base workflows

Runtime and multimodal work

• Dynamic agents are now the core runtime; the legacy supervisor and standalone A2A paths have been retired
• Telemetry, chat persistence, metrics, and autonomous execution rebuilt around dynamic agents
• Multimodal chat attachments, object-storage offload, model capability handling, and dropped-input visibility

Operations and integrations

• Scheduled agents backed by the scheduler and CronJob runner
• Audit-service storage controls, diagnostics, and capability-based platform health
• Stronger Slack and Webex parity, multiple Webex bots, 1:1 support, Webex Meetings, and self-service identity linking
• Directory synchronization plus more reliable SSO and Keycloak behavior

Security, delivery, and extensibility

• SSRF and NoSQL-injection hardening, safer credential and identity flows, and dependency fixes
• Native multi-architecture image builds, pinned third-party MCP images, and continued CI/RBAC coverage
• Skills Gallery/catalog, reusable selection controls, remote MCP support, and OAuth credential connectors

This is the cumulative result of the work since 0.6.0, including the reliability and cleanup needed to make the 1.0.0 foundation dependable for continued community use.

• Any release-blocking issues or regressions
• Upgrade or deployment concerns
• Documentation gaps
• Areas where the final release should be called out more clearly

If there are no blocking concerns, we plan to proceed with cutting the 1.0.0 tag.
