CH32X033F8P6 (812634f11) USB Device test

Hello,

This is the first time trying the ch32x033 and 'usb device'.
For the moment I use ch32v00x + CH340x.

The wiring:
Vcc - Vcc
Gnd - Gnd
PC16/UDM - D-
PC17/UDP - D+

When connecting to usb I get the sound of new device detected but after 10 seconds it disconnects.
It als doesnt appear in my Universal Serial Bus-controllers as a COM device.

Maybe I misunderstand the function of usb device, should it not be visibile ass a COM port ?

It may depend on your sketch. I still haven't tried USB myself, but it may be that what you're seeing is just the bootloader appearing shortly. As far as I understand the X033 should behave the same as X035. To use USB serial, you may need to use a dedicated library. Included in the core is the Adafruit TinyUSB library. Serial examples are under examples/CDC. Another library that could work is this CH32X035 CDC library.

If you want to try other things out, you may want to look into this X033 dev board by Stefan Wagner. who also made a USB-Knob and a NRF bridge for CH32X033 that utilize USB. I think these are made with CH32fun, not with this CH32 Arduino core. For instance, you can try the mousewheel hex to see what it does.
