Forgive me if I put this in the wrong place. I was wondering if it would be possible to add some way to select the checksum algorithm to be used when outputting the audit format rather than having it default to MD5, the current behavior. I realize that all of the flavors of checksum are generated when the method is called so it seems like it shouldn't be a heavy lift. But I am not a programmer so I freely admit my assumption might be wildly off base. If so my apologies.
The audit format is great for documentation obviously. But the MD5 is less useful for workflows at my institution than the SHA256. The audit format is also a much lighter lift for processing and storage than the full output that provides the SHA256 checksum. For my admittedly narrow purposes it would be preferable to be able to select the checksum algorithm.
