User Story

As a user I want a toc to get an overview of the content.

User Value

navigate large text contents

Acceptance Criteria

• Add a sticky file-list-2-line icon, optionally with the label "Outlines" (tbd - unsure about that, might be annoying as overlay of the actual text-content)
• Clicking the icon toggles the visibility of the TOC area, which displays the document headings.
  • All subheadings (h2–h999) are indented by the same amount. For example, h2 and h3 have the same indentation.
  • Clicking a heading in the TOC scrolls to the corresponding section in the document.
• The currently active heading is visually highlighted in the TOC.
  • The active heading is determined by the current viewport position or cursor position.
  • When scrolling, the highlighted heading updates dynamically to reflect the section currently in view.

Can you make it that the toc is default always shown, as one needs it very often to jump. And is it possible to make the toc on the right transparent? And there is lots of space on the right side. Obisidan makes it nice with left side tree of files, middle markdown (click on the part if one want to see the raw markdown), right toc. I personally also like when the numbering 1, 1.1, 1.2 one is able to automatically to generate as it is often easier to see in a large document based on the numbering how it is structured and not based on h1,h2 size. Doing the numbering manually is very hard as when one adds something it does not updates auotmatically.

This looks nice. With a double click on the markdown one can edit it in raw markdown mode.

I think that plugins, that one can also self develop, will be very important (like when somebody adds a task as markdown or adds a list item etc). https://opencode.ai/v2/docs is the best new way (its open source) how once develops agentic plugins in a safe and reliable way. It uses also code mode to execute securely js code (basically it has its own DSL for that).

Basically every company want to use a markdown document, where they can very fast just develop a small plugin that is then called and can do things like call a api or trigger other processes.
