Unable to build project in either Xcode 7.3 or Xcode 8 Beta 6

The transcript says that the playground was written in Swift 3.0.
The transcript also says that the project can found here; but there's no such playground.

I attempted to build the project in both Xcode 7.3/Swift 2.2 and Xcode 8 Beta 6/Swift 3.0.

However both scenarios yield compiler errors.
There are 158 errors via Xcode 8.0 Beta 6/Swift 3.0.

There are 13 errors in the test file via Xcode 7.3/Swift 2.2:

Also not able to compile, runnng xcode Version 8.0 (8A218a).

@bdonkey Check commit 7988e33, just had to remove a boilerplate property in the view controller.
