Why?
I would like to rename the repository to make it fit this things we want to put into.
Generally we have a culture of using Git SCM, writing commit messages and merging strategies.
On the front-end side we have a few style guides, for JavaScript and CSS, but also we have many config files for our environment.
I am sure we have style guides for PHP and Java too.
I would like to merge all of these together and store it in this single repository.
What?
I have the following options for the repository name.
- bible – the book of everything
- alphabet – something for the really beginning, fundamentals
- primer – the same as above but this might be confused with the framework
- hornbook – the same as
- welcome – something that welcomes new people to the team
All names have the common idea: it is the really beginning of work, fundamentals which you should learn the first time once and never come back.
I would like to hear your opinion about @mcancellieri, @samuelpearce
