Memory usage in C++ Implementation

Initializing the index structure for ~30k points uses more than 7GB of memory inside a Ubuntu 22.04 docker container!!

Thanks so much for your finding! Indeed it is a sloppy implementation -- I just did a quick demo years ago, I will fix it within a few days.
