Discovery: agent workflows, MCP, and approvals roadmap

Goal

Produce a scoped proposal for production agent workflows after the 0.2 message model is established.

Research questions

• Queued and resumable runs
• Human approval checkpoints
• MCP and provider-hosted tools
• Sub-agents and delegation
• Retry, failover, and idempotency boundaries
• Events, persistence, testing, and security

Acceptance criteria

• The output defines ownership between the SDK, AdonisJS application, queue system, and providers.
• Approval and resumption state transitions are explicit.
• Security and prompt/tool data boundaries are documented.
• Implementation is split into independently shippable follow-up issues; this issue does not implement the feature.
