Need "always use highest video quality" option in settings

It would be great if there was an option in settings to always use the highest video quality available for the stream. Twitch keeps dropping the video quality and I have to keep increasing it. Thanks.

An option to default to a specific quality as well. I select 1080p and its auto selected, but anytime i go to a stream that doesn't have a 1080p option, it picks another quality and then when I go back to a stream with 1080p available it sticks with the other quality instead of 1080p.

I like this idea better than my original one. In addition to setting a default quality preference, if that quality is unavailable, it would give you the next highest quality. So If I select 2k as my default quality, it will still give me 1080p if 2k is unavailable, and if that is unavailable I still get 720p etc or whatever the highest one is. But if I wanted a lower quality to save data like 480p I could still set that as default. It would give you the highest available quality without exceeding the default set by the user. if there is some kind of video quality memory when you change from one stream to another like you suggest, betterttv would need to select the quality for you based on your settings every time you change streams.
