The FHIR Document Reference Pattern documentation states "The total package of exchange would be a “Bundle” containing a number of resources including a “DocumentReference”, “Patient” and “Binary” resource as a minimum." However the ITK-DocumentReference-1 profile also references (mandates) 1..* Author (Practitioner/ Device) and 1..1 Custodian (Organization) resources which as a 'minimum' should be bundled within the ITK-Document-Bundle-1.
