Describe the solution you'd like

A way to have notifications to be routed or forwarded to another user in a specified away time or anytime based on user preference.
For example, set to forward notifications when not active to a different user may be one or
set an out-of-office time with an optional other user to forward notifications during that time.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Check on things even when I am out-of-office or away or let it go unhandled.

Additional context

I see that there is an absence section where you can set a replacement in personal settings, but it does not forward notifications as far as I can tell so if there could be maybe a toggle for that, and in notifications a general offline forward that might be nice. The user might even filter what is forwarded

Not at the moment.

It's also quite non-trivial, as the replacement might not have access to the respective items e.g. they are not part of a talk conversation, file share, deck board or something. In some cases "leaking" it might be okay, in some other cases not. E.g. a reminder about a talk chat message in my "Note to self" or a "Management chat" sounds like a bad idea to forward, but a ping in a group chat where the replacement is already part of could be okay.

It would therefore require quite a large rework addressing this in the full ecosystem making apps aware that notifications could be rendered on-behalf of another person and we need a sophisticated plan how to deal with this on various levels.

What about what I said about have the user be able to select which apps and notifications get forwarded?
That might take care of some of the problems, like you could do it for only certain talk rooms or just certain apps.
