My first thoughts about this is if there is a headline image, could it be used? @zero77 if the article is purely text, no images, what would be displayed? No image? A holding image? The sites favion? (That might get annoying if the list had repeated favicon images!) Something else? Also, I think this could be an option you can enable/disable. Thoughts? |
Yes, that sounds like a good idea. Something like this as an example, but more the middle column not either end: |

@zero77 Yep, I saw that image earlier.
I think this might be a bug because I've checked and right now the web interface behaviour for showing images is inconsistent. When web view is not in compact viewFor example, for this RSS feed, the News app shows an image for this article - whereas it doesn't show an image for this article- Even though the article does have an image in it - When web view is in compact viewThe web view does not show any images: So there are 2 things here:

As mentioned in #631 this might be down to how the feed is created/where the images are located. I'll reply in that thread. |

This might depend on the rewrite of the web-frontend. This is surely something that should be considered in the front-end rewrite. |

@Grotax OK. How about I do some pretty simple wireframes of how this might look in default view and compact view? And then wait 'til later? |
