Add minimum legal pages for a public website #56

Description

@nexspro

Context

Nexspro is intended to be a public website, but there are currently no legal pages or legal routes.

Missing examples:

  • Privacy policy
  • Terms of use
  • Legal notice

For V1, the project should decide whether minimum legal pages are required before public launch.

Problem

A public website may need clear legal information depending on its scope, audience, collected data, contact forms, analytics, hosting, and business use.

Right now, Nexspro does not clearly define whether legal pages are required for V1.

Goal

Review the minimum legal page requirements for Nexspro V1 and either add the required pages or document why they are out of scope.

Acceptance criteria

  • Legal page needs are reviewed for V1
  • Privacy policy decision is made
  • Terms of use decision is made
  • Legal notice decision is made
  • Required legal routes are added if needed
  • Footer or navigation links are added if legal pages are included
  • Decision is documented if legal pages are out of scope for V1
  • CI passes

Technical notes

Possible routes to consider:

  • /privacy
  • /terms
  • /legal

Things to review:

  • whether Nexspro collects personal data
  • whether there is a contact form
  • whether analytics are used
  • whether cookies are used
  • whether the site is only a portfolio or a commercial product
  • whether legal pages should be linked from the footer

For V1, the solution should stay minimal and clear.

Out of scope

This issue should not provide formal legal advice.

This issue should not create complex legal workflows.

This issue should not add cookie banners, analytics, or consent management unless those features are required by the final V1 scope.

The goal is only to decide and implement the minimum legal page strategy for a public V1 website.
