Basic system setup

Required software:

  1. git and GNU stuff (make, coreutils, findutils, binutils)
  2. C++ 17 compliant compiler
  3. SDL 2.0 and GLEW

Ubuntu / Debian

  1. Install git, and GNU stuff
sudo apt install git coreutils findutils build-essential
  1. Install sufficiently recent compiler
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-toolchain-r/test
sudo apt update
sudo apt install g++-7 -y
  1. Install SDL 2, and GLEW libraries
sudo apt install libsdl2-2.0
sudo apt install libsdl2-dev
sudo apt install libglew-dev
