Is this still needed? apt-rpm was abandoned like 15 years ago. Current version of Synaptic [does not even compile with it](https://github.com/andy128k/synaptic/pull/2). - PCLinuxOS [migrated from apt-rpm (and synaptic) to DNF and their own GUI application](https://pclosusers.com/wiki/index.php?title=DNF_and_the_Repositories). - The other major distro using apt-rpm is AltLinux. But they are stuck with [a very old version 0.58 of Synaptic](https://packages.altlinux.org/en/sisyphus/srpms/synaptic/). They also develop their own GUI app [alt-packages](https://altlinux.space/alterator/alt-packages). - [VineLinux](https://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=vine) also stuck with [even older version 0.57](https://ftp.jaist.ac.jp/pub/Linux/Vine/VineSeed/x86_64/pool/synaptic-0.57.2-22vl7.x86_64.rpm) of Synaptic. Should the support of apt-rpm be removed then?
