Project status, comparison with ex_phone_number

Hello! I've stumbled upon this project when looking for a library to validate phone numbers. Can you answer a couple of questions?

1. How does it compare with ex_phone_number feature-wise? I don't really like the code, but it's the number one hit on hex.pm by # of downloads).
2. Can it be used in production?
