Rendering on 64 bit ubantu

Hi

Having real problems after re compiling using 64 bit oracle java ver .1.8 on 64 bit ubuntu ver15.04 with rendering Strip board is repeated almost as though you have the layout with 4 or five java jpanels ^2 in main frame If you place any components then these are repeated as though you have 4_4 or 5|_5 panels operating at the same time this is dependant on the zoom as well Ive noticed

Its A Ok on 32 bit os and 32 bit java

Thanking you for any direction you may have I have as suggested run the ant script which compiles and zips to / blackboard/dist/blackboard-bin-1.1.4.0,zip

I’m also a little confused with instructions as to which set of folders to copy to ~/.Blackboard as you now have not just initial folders as outlined in your instructions which I’ve followed but also another set of folders excluding data-sheets which are now in the new extracted zip file initially created by created by ant

I’ve also noticed that the Linux_Start.sh script wont run as per the script itself This seems to be an issue related to the text editor you may be using to create the Script This keeps complaining about /r which doesn’t exist you cant see this and am wondering if this is a UNICODE problem UTF8 , UTF 16 , UTF32 etc

Could you advise on this please

I used Blackboard for the first time today and faced the graphics issue as well. To be honest I am a bit disappointed finding exactly that issue here on github with no anwser for about six months. Not a single hint, not even a reaction at all.

I did some research and found out that this seems to be a general Java Swing issue. To make a long story short: Just edit Linux_start.sh like this:

java -Dsun.java2d.opengl=true -jar BlackBoard.jar

should be

java -Dsun.java2d.d3d=false -jar BlackBoard.jar

I added native packages with the abovementioned setting for Ubuntu, MacOS and Windows here: #31
Would be glad if someone could validate on the different OS whether they work ok.
