I am not entirely sure what is causing this but I do know that it doesn't happen with the lazy example on the readme. So this is related to a plugin somehow. My current theory is that the "auto update highlight groups" isn't working quite right, though because I don't have this boiled down to a simple configuration to test with, I don't know for sure yet. I'll get there eventually though lol
