Saw this on the H5P.org threads and as I have been playing around this weekend with a few projects. This is perfect to see if I can get it in as a # Build the H5P viewer for Directory Opus.

Codex is working on it and will open it in a git if I get it up and running.

Summary

Create ACS H5P Viewer in D:\edu\h5p\do_viewer_plugin: a separate Windows x64 plugin that plays the selected .h5p inside Opus’s viewer panel using WebView2 and h5p-offline-player.

First acceptance target: the Qwen Plumbing lesson, including slides, questions, audio, videos and captions. Visual C++ Build Tools and CMake are installed; the official Opus SDK download is accessible.

Implementation

• Build a small C++ viewer DLL with the Opus SDK and WebView2 SDK. Claim only .h5p files.
• Pin @missing-elements/h5p-offline-player to the locally installed 0.3.1 baseline. Bundle its browser assets locally and preserve dependency licences, notices and source references.
• Use a hidden Node helper for the prototype, using the installed Node runtime. Bind to an automatically allocated loopback port; serve the player and selected package with HTTP range support.
• Pass selected paths from the native plugin to the helper through private process pipes. Expose packages through opaque session URLs, with no general filesystem browsing or path-based HTTP endpoint.
• Give each viewer instance its own helper and browser profile. Stop its helper when the viewer closes; clean up abandoned temporary profiles on the next launch.
• On selection changes, unload the previous player immediately, cancel pending work and ignore stale completion events. Reopening a changed package must load its current contents.
• Provide a compact title/status bar, interactive player and Reload control. Disable learner-state persistence and autoplay. Missing libraries and malformed packages produce readable errors; do not automatically download dependencies.
• Restrict browser navigation and network requests to the viewer’s local resources. Expose no filesystem or command-execution bridge to H5P content.

dont want to cross-post here, but got the first runs in place. If you're interested, jump over to my git, and you will see it.. main thing here is to work with it in the viewer panel for quick scans of multiple H5Ps.. which, when you are in development mode, is a pain in the arse.. :-)
