Hi,
my post on moodle forum,
https://moodle.org/mod/forum/discuss.php?d=482094#p1909013
I look after a large Moodle site for a Sussex FE college in the UK, I have looked after Moodle for 20+ years now. I’m trying to do this summers update, from 4.5 LTS to 5.2 is the target
Moodle version: 4.5.12
block_microsoft version: 4.5.7 (2024100735)
auth_oidc version: 4.5.7 (2024100735)
My aim is to get to Moodle 5.2 but have tested each possible increment version so 4.5 to 5, 5.1 and 5.2! each with latest 365 plugins for there version, I’m using a pair of VMs as a Web and DB server matching live setup Ubuntu 24 LTS and everything else is working fine. had a bit of fun sorting curl download urls from the new Market place but got that sorted now
I have done a clean install of Moodle 4.5.12 as well, fresh Database and installed just the 4 O365 integration plugins I’m using. I did not configure them at all, but they are there with default settings
My live site has O365 fully working and a test update process has the same blocking issue
https://marketplace.moodle.com/plugins/auth_oidc
https://marketplace.moodle.com/plugins/block_microsoft
https://marketplace.moodle.com/plugins/local_o365
https://marketplace.moodle.com/plugins/repository_office365
On Moodle 5.2 using the latest plugin release - 5.2.0 (2026042000) Uploaded on Tuesday, 7 July 2026 at 09:56 (GMT+0)
I have briefly looked at troubleshooting with copilot and checking the Moodle database it does indeed not have the tables referenced so I think there must be some sort of bug in the install/update scripts, but I cant see any other users with the issues so I’m at a bit of a loss to believe I’m first to hit it. or is there something simple I’m missing
any help appreciated
Kind regards
