With changes to WSA networking capability (since version 2305), I was hoping someone from the WSA team (or community) could add some clarity on how WSA interacts with the networks/firewall/vpn:
With a default install of Amazon Appstore / WSA - does a firewall rule need to be approved / created when using a private or public network? We've seen fresh installs not be able to connect to Amazon Appstore while connected to private/public wifi networks - no Windows Defender Firewall alerts were generated.
When WSA setting
Advanced settings->Local network accessis enabled (and WSA restarted), we've seen WSA app lose internet connectivity. DisablingLocal network access(and WSA restarted) restores internet connectivity. Note this issue only manifests on some machines and not others.VPN related:
When Windows machine has a VPN connection established (GlobalProtect):
Advanced settings->Local network accessdisabled (default) -> WSA apps CAN connect to VPN resourcesAdvanced settings->Local network accessenabled -> WSA apps cannot CANNOT to VPN resourcesAre there plans to support VPN while
Local network accessis enabled?Any insight you could provide would be much appreciated.
