Cheat stopped working suddenly on Harvest Moon: More Freinds of Mineral Town (USA).

I'm using the rucksack slot 1 (82004224 xxxx) code from the following guide:

I have used the same code multiple times before, but stopped working suddenly. Things I have tried:

1. Restart PC multiple times.
2. Delete all save, save state, cheat, and config files.

From my understanding from reading the guide above, the cheat code is of CodeBreaker and I add it with the auto-detect option. I tried going to that memory address by suing the built-in memory viewer, and it doesn't seem to be the correct one. So, I run some memory search and found the correct memory address has become 0x02006A59, I then add the code 02006A59 00000099 and it works.

I have also tried VBA-M, and it is not working too, but I have never used VBA-M before this, so I don't know if it is working before this strange issue. What could be the issue here? Could it be a hardware issue like RAM?

EDIT:
Now the cheat code for harvest sprites max affection from website gamehacking.org is also stopped working after using it for 2 or 3 times.
